HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I’m back more or less. The cabana boy did not leave me for dead on the side of the road running along the beach, believe it or not, although that story is far more exciting.
My excuse/justification for my almost three-month hiatus is the fact that I am doing fantastic in school now, and if all goes according to plan I should be able to graduate next winter. Technically, I will still be graduating as scheduled and my college ring won’t have to be changed to 2008, thank god.
Classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, work Monday, Wednesday Friday and lots of homework and reading in between. But we’re actually reading some stuff worth tracking, not to mention the books I read over the summer that still haven’t been recorded.
For now, everyone enjoy your Halloween with these page-turners:
The Shining: Stephen King
The Exorcist: William Peter Blatty
The Haunting: Shirley Jackson
Rebecca: Daphne DuMaurier
Legion: William Peter Blatty
The Horror Film: Peter Hutchings
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Robert Louis Stevenson
“The Yellow Wallpaper“: Charlotte Perkins Gilman
The Turn of the Screw: Henry James
Monster: Autobiography of an LA Gang Member: Sanyika Shakur (not a horror/gothic novel, but certainly scaring the hell out of me)
I can’t post on a daily basis anymore as I would like to, but you can still count on me for postings a couple of times a week. I’ve certainly missed it!
Extra appreciation for Claudia and Hildie Block!
